Kimberly Grandinetti, M.D., FAAP

Lead Physician

Dr. Kimberly Grandinetti grew up in Spokane and is excited to finally fulfill her dream of opening a pediatric practice in her hometown to help serve the children in our community. She attended University of Washington for her undergraduate degree and then went to Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Grandinetti completed her pediatric residency at Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.


She served four amazing years in the United States Air Force at McChord AFB as their chief pediatrician and received the Air Force Pediatrician of the year award in 2004. Dr. Grandinetti then moved back to her hometown and welcomed her first of two boys. She worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital for six years, before moving back to outpatient pediatrics for the last seven years.


Dr. Grandinetti is passionate about educating her patients to help improve their own health as well as our future trainees in medicine. She has received numerous teaching awards with the most recent being the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics Curtis Bennett WWAMI Teacher of the Year 2018.


Her true desire is to help care for all children in our community in a small office setting and to be the home they need at all times.

Timothy Crum, M.D. FAAP

Physician

Spokane Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Timothy Crum MD to our Pediatric practice beginning October 31st, 2022. Dr. Crum is coming to us part-time after a 30-year, full time career in Pediatrics with the Rockwood Clinic.

Dr. Crum was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho and after graduating from Lewiston High School, Dr. Crum attended the University of Idaho graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology.  From there, Dr Crum attended Creighton University School of Medicine, again graduating Cum Laude in May 1985 with a Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Denver and the University of Colorado School of Medicine were Dr. Crum’s next stop, spending three years there in Pediatric residency.  In Denver, Dr. Crum met his lovely and now dear departed wife of 33 years, Karen.​

After completing his Pediatric residency, Dr. Crum proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as Pediatrician at Edwards Air Force Base, achieving the rank of Major and the position of Chief of Pediatrics (1989-1991). After leaving the Air Force, Dr. Crum and his wife moved to Spokane where Dr. Crum served as staff Pediatrician at the Rockwood Clinic.At Rockwood, Dr. Crum served four years on the Board of Directors and spent 7 years working as Primary Investigator within the Rockwood Clinic Research Department helping pharmaceutical companies develop 10 pediatric vaccines and 3 infant formulas. In March 2020, Dr. Crum was certified by the Washington State Health Care authority as a “Center of Excellence” in the diagnosis and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

While living in Spokane, Dr. Crum and his wife successfully raised two boys and two girls to adulthood.  In July 2021, Dr. Crum retired from the Rockwood Clinic to care for his ailing wife Karen, who quietly passed away from ALS, November 2021. Dr. Crum now returns to Pediatrics part-time bringing with him 35 years of Pediatric experience and expertise. Dr. Crum enjoys seeing patients for Well Child Care, ADHD, asthma, autism, anxiety, depression, sports medicine, concussions, minor acute illness, and sports related injuries.

Aside from Pediatrics, Dr. Crum is a competitive cyclist, avid alpine skier, voracious reader, photographer, dog lover and has an adequate tenor/baritone voice when singing alone in his car.

Kristen Edgehouse, D.O., FAAP

Physician

Dr. Edgehouse was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Vertebra Physiology. She went on to attend Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and graduated in 2004 with a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) medical degree. She then traveled across the country and fell in love with the West in Portland, OR where she completed her 3-year Pediatrics residency at Oregon Health and Science University/Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Dr. Edgehouse continued her pediatrics training at Stanford University and completed a Hematology-Oncology 3-year fellowship. She stayed on at Stanford University for a year as a clinical instructor, before moving to Lewiston, ID for her husband's job relocation. She worked in primary care hospital and clinic-based pediatrics in Lewiston and the surrounding areas for several years while concurrently commuting to Spokane and working as a Pediatric Hospitalist and a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.

Since moving closer to the Spokane area, Dr. Edgehouse continues as a Pediatric Hospitalist and maintains a vascular anomalies clinic through the Pediatric Hematology clinic at Sacred Heart. She is now excited to re-establish herself in the outpatient pediatrics setting, to gain continuity of care with patients and their families, to focus on pediatric health maintenance/education, chronic pediatric conditions, and acute illness and injury. She is thrilled to be part of the growing practice at Spokane Pediatrics.

 

Aside from her love of Pediatrics, Dr. Edgehouse is a busy wife and mom of two active growing boys, who are avid hockey players. She enjoys yoga, running, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Veronica Jessick, M.D.

Physician

Dr. Jessick grew up in Oregon, went to medical school in Virginia and came to Spokane for residency training. She has been providing primary care in Spokane since 2013. Dr. Jessick is passionate about women’s health and pediatrics, and she enjoys procedural care as well.

​

During her free time, Veronica likes spending time with her family and their dog. She enjoys camping, hiking, skiing and traveling.

Britney Muraoka, RN

First Steps Maternity Support Services Nurse

Britney Muraoka is a dedicated First Steps maternity support services nurse at CHAS Health and specializes in lactation services. She works closely with expecting mothers and their families, offering compassionate guidance throughout pregnancy and into the first year of parenthood. Britney also serves as a registered nurse in the pediatrics office, where she provides essential care to young patients through health assessments, vaccinations, and exam support. She is passionate about educating families on child health, nutrition, and development, while fostering a safe, supportive environment for children and caregivers alike.

​

Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Britney loves being able to work in the community where she grew up!

Melanie Flores

Behavioral Health Provider

Melanie Flores is passionate about helping others and breaking the stigma surrounding behavioral health care. As a behavioral health provider in the pediatrics office at CHAS Health, she supports children’s emotional and mental well-being through compassionate, evidence-based care. Melanie assesses behavioral concerns, diagnoses conditions such as anxiety or ADHD, and provides therapy and counseling tailored to each child’s needs. She works closely with families, pediatricians, and schools to develop care plans, offer parenting strategies, and promote healthy development in a supportive, stigma-free environment.

​

In her free time, Melanie loves exploring new places in the PNW, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones, which includes her two fur babies.
